GRADUATE STUDENTS

Melissa Cloutier

Melissa Cloutier is a 4th year Ph.D. in the Human Factors/Human-Computer Interaction research group of the Psychological Sciences department at Rice University. Along with her adviser, Dr. Pat DeLucia, Melissa’s current research focuses on judgments of collision in traffic environments in individuals with age-related macular degeneration. She earned her B.A. (2018) and M.A. (2020) in Experimental Psychology from the University of South Florida. Her ultimate goal is to work in the aviation industry, designing better cockpit layouts for pilots.


Christine Petersen

 

 

 

 

 

 

Christine Petersen is a 4th year doctoral student. She earned her undergraduate degree from Purdue University in Brain and Behavioral Sciences. Her current research interests are in driving, automated driving and perception of intention in dynamic environments.


Myriam Oliver

Myriam Oliver is a third year doctoral student. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech. Her research interests include human factors, and visual perception in transportation.

Jayashri Prakash

Jayashri Prakash  is a third year doctoral student. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Delhi University, India. Her research interests include human factors,tactile and multimodal perception, tactile vigilance, and applications in healthcare.
